About the Role:
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you’ll work closely with our experienced OTs to:
- Assist during individual and group therapy sessions
- Run therapy sessions independently following a personalised plan (under OT supervision)
- Prepare engaging therapy resources and activities
- Welcome families and assist with scheduling and follow-ups
- Keep client notes and progress records up to date
- Observe and document client participation, progress, and behaviours
- Support families with home-based activities and resources
- Maintain a safe, organised, and positive clinic environment

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting children in developing motor, sensory, and daily living skills
-
Assisting Occupational Therapists during therapy sessions
-
Preparing and organising therapy materials and activities
-
Helping track progress and maintain accurate client records
-
Creating a calm, engaging, and child-friendly environment
What You’ll Need:
-
- Currently studying Occupational Therapy
- Working with Children Check (for paid work)
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A warm, compassionate, and playful nature with children
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn (we use Splose, Asana, and Gmail)
