Meet Alana
Speech Pathologist
I have a special interest in early language development, school readiness, and social communication skills. I love supporting children to build the language foundations they need to feel confident understanding instructions, expressing their ideas, telling stories, and joining in with peers. What draws me to this area is that communication is about so much more than words. It’s about connection, participation, and helping kids feel understood. I love using play, stories, and a child’s own interests to make learning feel fun and meaningful, while building skills that support them in the classroom and beyond.
The best part of my job is getting to work alongside families as a team. No one knows a child better than their family, and I love learning from them just as much as they learn from me. I’m constantly inspired by how much care, effort, and advocacy families put into supporting their kids. It is incredibly rewarding to be able to give parents practical strategies, reassurance, and celebrate the small wins together For me, it’s all about helping children feel confident, capable, and excited to communicate, while making therapy a positive and empowering experience for the whole family.
