Meet Flora
Occupational Therapist
Hi! I am an Occupational Therapist trained in Hong Kong, holding a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and a Master of Counselling.
I have a special interest in emotional regulation and mental health. I love helping children feel safe, supported, and empowered, and I take so much joy in seeing them light up with pride as we celebrate every small win together. What inspires me most is watching growth happen naturally through play. It is a true privilege to guide children as they learn new skills, build confidence, and gain independence in their everyday lives.
Rooted in my play therapy background, I deeply believe that all children have an innate drive to thrive when they feel safe, heard, and seen. I view genuine presence as one of the most powerful therapeutic tools available, and I dedicate every session to ensuring each child feels truly understood. In my practice, I combine both top-down and bottom-up approaches to problem-solve challenges step-by-step alongside the children and the families, building strong connections that support growth.
About me
Flora is an Occupational Therapist trained in Hong Kong, holding a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and a Master of Counselling. She has a particular interest in emotional regulation and mental health, and is passionate about supporting children to feel safe, understood, confident, and empowered in their everyday lives.
Flora finds great joy in helping children recognise and celebrate their strengths. She believes that every small achievement is worth celebrating and loves seeing children light up with pride as they develop new skills and discover what they are capable of. For Flora, it is a privilege to support children as they build confidence, develop greater independence, and experience success in the activities that are meaningful to them.
Flora’s approach is strongly influenced by her background in play therapy. She believes that children have an innate drive to learn and thrive when they feel safe, heard, and genuinely seen. She places a strong emphasis on building authentic therapeutic relationships and believes that being truly present and connected with a child is one of the most powerful therapeutic tools. Through play-based therapy, Flora creates opportunities for children to explore, practise new skills, develop emotional awareness, and build confidence in a way that feels natural and engaging. She follows each child’s interests and strengths, using these as a foundation for creating meaningful therapeutic experiences.
Flora incorporates both top-down and bottom-up approaches within her practice, recognising that children’s challenges can be influenced by a range of emotional, sensory, developmental, and environmental factors. She works collaboratively with children and their families to understand the underlying challenges, identify practical strategies, and problem-solve together, one step at a time.
Flora places a strong emphasis on working alongside families and ensuring that therapy is meaningful beyond the clinic environment. She aims to equip children and their families with practical strategies that can be incorporated into everyday routines and activities, supporting children to carry their developing skills into the environments where they live, learn, play, and connect with others.
Above all, Flora is passionate about creating a space where every child feels valued, understood, and capable. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside children and their families as they celebrate progress, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to participate more independently and confidently in everyday life.
